An evening to remember

Post by Bill Sonnett »

Have not been out for two weeks due to health problems. Last evening (Oct 3rd) decided to give it a whirl. 75 year old reel, 75 year old lure (Shakespeare Mouse), 70 year old Silaflex rod, a rowboat and an 80 year old fisherman. Two hours later a 4 &1/2 lb bass and a 5 lb bass. A great evening and the Bass were both release in good shape.

I love to get old reels, work on them until they run as smooth as silk and the take them fishing using pre-1960 plugs, mostly surface fishing for Largemouths after dark.

Great post by a well deserving angler. Memories. Like the red ORCA cap as well. Really helps the colors of the fish in the photo. Stay after Em Bill. Keepin' It Fun! Colby

Solitude and serenity.
Hours on the water are time well spent.
Nice fish indeed.
