Does anyone know if, or where I can find a new gear set for my Calcutta 200a? I have looked around and only found used gears. Thanks for any help.

you will have to email him to see if he has the drive gear and pinion gear - BNT 1213 and BNT 1225 respectively.

A different gear ratio is good too, if it exist. 6.3 gears would be great. Will take what I can get though

I know that the Slk line has a 6.3 ratio and the calcutta conquest line has an out of the box 6.8. Avail makes a 6.2 calutta conquest gear set. That set can be seen on the hedgehog studio site. It might be worth a call to them. They do a lot of custom stuff. Not sure if any of those would work on your 200A. Do you want to slow the reel down for the retrieve on crank baits? Good luck and let me know what you are able to do. I don't have many round Shimanos. My collection consists of the bantam line.

mine has a 5.1 ratio. That will work, but speeding it up to 6.3 or so would be perfect. Yes, same here, I have 2 calcuttas, the other 15 or so are low profile shimano reels, mostly higher end shimanos. I will look into hedghog. I got a few of their custom parts for other reels. I have a hedgehog BFS spool in one of my Bantam 100 reels. Great spool!

I’ve had a similar issue with trying to find new parts for older reels. My best luck came from reaching out directly to the manufacturer and also checking out some specialized reel repair shops. There are also a few forums where people restore reels, and you might find someone with a new gear set or a good lead.
