John Gierach Best Selling Author Dies at 77

Post by Jonathan P. Kring »

In my current issue of Fly Fishing Magazine I was sorry to see Best selling author John Gierach Died Oct. 3rd 2024. I am not an avid reader but I think I may have every book John wrote on Fly Fishing. I would reccomend them all. As I post this I remember Oct. 3rd 2018 is the day I lost my wife of 52 yrs. Two of my favorite people passed on Oct. 3rd! John wrote books and articles for magazines and was a prolific fly fisher. R.I.P.

One of my favorite authors. I especially liked his humor. I recall : “Tying a size 26 dry fly is almost as difficult as separating coffee filters-but not quite.”

Tight lines there on the other side of the creek John! Bad Bob
