Be aware, ORCA members are receiving a phishing email asking for a password. This is not from ORCA and should be deleted. You should use unique passwords for every site you use, and two factor authentication or alternatively passkeys.
Be vigilant. Do not respond and delete these emails.

Thanks, Matt. This is an important announcement, but because of the way we permanently tag some older, often less relevant posts, Matt’s announcement appears as the 14th(!) on the list. It should be first to attract more attention.
I am confident in the technical knowledge that I have as a retired professional expert in computer digital technology that phishing attacks exploit publicly available resources and in no way is a "hack" of my personal accounts. It is though for most to understand that sophisticated emails can be constructed to fool the public from fragments of available resources. In short, the attack on ORcA members is not systemic, but rather exploitative. We are examining the potential sources.
Every organization seems to experience this in some form. I am vigilant in monitoring and responding to malicious actors in the digital space. I appreciate the people that reported this email campaign to me. We examine the attack messages and email headers to try to understand how the attack may have occurred and what sources of information they may have exploited. I can assure the membership that we are up to the task of understanding and defending against these attacks. However, it is up to everyone to assist and help to prevent any such attacks or successful leaks of private information.
As of today, at least five members have reached out to report and certify that they have not been fooled by the phishing emails. Kudos to you.
