Cabela's is coming to town...
The lead headline in the paper a few days ago was that Cabela's is opening a store in Boise, Idaho. It's about time - that driving to Nebraska to shop the bargain cave made for a long haul. They expect to have their store open by summer 2006, as they are converting an old Cosco store into a full fledged typical Cabela's indoor museum/shopping center/aquarium/etc.
That announcement calls for : cool-thumb cool-thumb jump yay-banana

That's good news for you and the Rubber Reel Lady, Phil, but maybe not so good for the pocketbook!
And here's hoping Boise St. can pull off a win tonight which will keep me alive in my BCS pool...

Wow Milt. All I want them to do is tell everyone to go fish somewhere other than Lake Lowell.
I also would like Robyn to stay alive in his BCS poll. We'll know if you're still alive in a few hours, Robyn. The weather is not very nice with strong winds from the east and overcast, with possible rain showers. Lots of snow falling in the mountains the past two days, but it's rained here in the valley.

Sorry about that Robyn. We should have won that game.
The only thing that really griped me about that game was that BSU's offensive guard, D. Colledge, who is predicted to be one of the top 10 offensive linemen in the NFL draft, outplayed BC's All American Defensive Lineman, but got few accolades. No one mentioned that he won that battle.
I guess that's enough football. Are we ready for some FISHING! yay-banana

There's one 40 miles from my house, and I haven't been there yet. I know I should visit, but I have just lost all interest in contemporary tackle. About the only thing I've still got a bug for is an Austin Forbes Aerial (while they're still available) and I'm about to kill that bug. I've even got my girls fishing vintage tackle. (Last time out with my Dad, I fished a 4 Bros. Regal on a SB doublebilt.)
Have they been bought out!
