Board problems ??

Today I got two email "Topic Reply Notfications" for posts on this board. When I click on the link it says "The topic or post you requested does not exist". The topics were threads that were active several months ago. Has this happened to anyone else?

I had it happen once to me yesterday. My home page is the board so I very seldom use that link. I just happened to open it when I recieved it as New Mail. I have deleated it so I can't see if it happens again.

I think what is happening is that spam posts are being made as replies in these old threads. Since you may have signed up to receive emails to notify you of responses to your posts, the message board automatically sends you these emails. Fortunately, through the diligence of the moderators (mainly "reelman", thank you!), by the time you check the board the spam message has been deleted. Therefore you get "The topic or post you requested does not exist".
