Merv B. has asked me to relay that he will be unavailable for a little while due to a visit to the hospital. He also asks for understanding and patience from those whom he may have pending deals with and will get in touch after what he hopes is a short stay.

I am back up and around again. Never quite made it to the hospital but was down and out. I am sorry if I was short with some people last week. I was fighting a high temperature and a bad infection in my foot and leg. And I was worried I would lose the left foot and maybe the leg. Like when I came close to losing the right foot and leg to infection a couple months ago. And spent several days in the hospital. But the antibiotics managed to get it under control this time.And is clearing up. Is it a bad sign that you have been in the hospital so often that they do not have to look at the wrist band to know who you are. And you can ask for the usual room.

Yes Merv, that's a bad sign. Glad to see you are recovering and are back on line. I shipped a box of books to you last week that should give you a start for the ORCA Lending Library.

Glad to hear you are doing better. I have been in and out of the hospital myself the last couple of weeks. I had a bad fall off of a ladder and damaged my spleen. The bleeding has finally stopped and I probably will not need surgery now. Pretty scary stuff.

Thanks for all the well wishes. And yes as always I need of more books and anything else that has to do with fishing for the ORCA library. One thing I found out quick from all the times I end up in the hospital is. By the time you are starting to feel better. The nurses stop giving sponge baths.

You know we have to keep those membership numbers UP!

Seriously... have heard about several ORCAns that have been in for surgery or under the weather lately... so EVERYBODY be careful out there, ORCA members are rare enough. Don't want them to become endangered!

I wish I could. It seems everytime I go to the Drs I end up with more pills or shots. He already has me or 3000 dollars a month habit. I asked him if I could go back to work. All I got out of him was a laugh.
