The list of unusual early Senator features keeps growing, just learned that the old 9/0 I acquired has:
hollow, tubular frame posts, in addition to
rosewood knob, w/big oiler, in same shape as umbiquitous plastic knobs
logo says SENATOR, w/o any size, in same style as model F & K
backplate is plain no script or scene
clicker button is smooth, flattened 'flying saucer' shape
pair of 'D' shaped harness lugs at top only
sleeve, fixed to faceplate, under star does not rotate, enclosing drag
free spool lever is behind top post
crank is ahead of center in 4 o'clock position
components do not have part numbers stamped on them
bearing caps are slightly different domed shape, as is handle nut
moving parts w/'oilers' stamped OIL but AR pawl 'oiler' embossed GREASE
