That was a very unfortunate incident indeed. A few years ago I asked the family if they were related to a certain group with the same name from Ohio but they said they were not. If I remember correctly, this family might have come directly from Germany. I do believe the Enterprise Pfluegers got as far as sunny California.

By the by... I recently met (via internet) a member of the family in Germany. That Atlapac 9/0 is currently winging its way there...
Nice guy. :D

Glad you were able to shift the Atlapac, and I hope that you find a better one to replace it when times get better! :D

Thanks for that thought, though it isn't as bad as all that. That Atlapac 9/0 was the spare. I still have a 9/0 MIB in my collection. Have not had to dip into my main collection quite yet, just selling off the duplicates and extras and reels that didn't really go... Ones that were not and wouldn't be on display. I have sort of limited display space anyway so... this is helping to make me more choosy on the reels I do have out... and get interested in things that others are not big on collecting so I can get ones I want less expensively... like my new copper collection. Have so far a tacklebox, rod case, rod, one or two reels and an assortment of old spinner baits, all made of copper... I am looking for items like cricket holders, bait buckets, scalers... other fishing stuff made from copper... the brand etc. isn't important. I imagine it could all make a wonderful photo for a calendar eventually...

Parting thought: Everyone be safe over the 4th Holiday... Keep those membership numbers UP! Keep your rod tip UP! And the usa flag high!
