Hi Reemuri,

Japnese reels are tough because there is very little in the way of documentation on them. Are these spinning reels? If so, I would suggest a visit to " www.oldjapreels.com ". If they are baitcasters then it's a bit more difficult. Sometimes they can be identified by seeing what other reels they look like. If you are looking for parts, many were exact copies of other reels to the extent that the perts are interchangeable. A picture would really help.

Thanks for oldjapreels & its sister site on old Daiwa, just bookmarked both for later study. Might be another slippery slope.

I have an Argus #576 which is a 'copy' more like counterfiet Mitchell 302, MIB with a parts sheet. Have an interest in the Japanese 'copy' reels & early Daiwa.
