Anybody know.....

Post by tackler »

Anybody know the huge (5-6" long - 2½-3" wide) spoon Pflueger (I think) made many years ago, which I have seen someone made into an ashtray... I saw it in brass - but might have been made in other colors too?

I would like to know the correct name of that spoon - and if any of you have one just lying there - I really would like to buy one.

Could it possibly be a "Lake Tahoe Spoon". Curious minds.

Monster spoon

The Pflueger Tahoe measured (size 2) 4 1/2 " by 2 25/64 " (how is that for exact size? They were trying to be accurate I assume). That is the most likely candidate. It was sold in 1916, likely earlier. Apparently not yet made in 1898. What a disgrace to use anything made by Pflueger for an ashtray! Bad Bob

Lake Tahoe spoon

Forgot to mention. The Tahoe was made in brass, copper, and nickel, plus the 833 was nickel and copper. Bad bob
