Very odd rod/reel combo, need identification if possible

See pics, lenght is 1,14 meter (about 3 or 4 ft I guess), 3 line guides.
Fully made of aulm., the handle is cork and placed before the reel-holding-unit (if you know of a better name please let me know...). At the end (...) of the reel-holding-unit there's an internal wire, seems it could be screwed-on to something (a belt ?).

I love it! Very cool rod and reel combination. It looks like a sure method of getting a great deal of line twist in a day's fishing.

The problem is I just can't figure out how to handle it
I would not surprise me if it came from outer space as according to me you need at least 3 hands to operate it :?

I agree with Geezer. Lemme guess: right hand around the cork, left hand around the rear grip. Cast. Run the line over the loop above the reel. Switch cork to left hand. Swing the rod 90 degrees left so you can somehow grab the reel handle with right hand and crank (and twist) the line in. :loco:

The only question I have is: Why isn't the reel rose-colored?
Wait, the only other question I have is: Is that hook behind the reel for some kind of support to prevent the spool from snapping off?

Phantom Fisher will want to color-collect these things.

My one question...do you eat the Kielbasa in the 9th pic?...and if so, which hand do you use to hold it.

Looks to be designed for a two hand fling. May be idela for a Carolina rig, or better still to fly a kite. Sometimes useful to have a little more control in high winds. There are some unique kite reel systems that I have seen.
