Bad Bob's "Thought for the Week"

Post by RAM »

The best place to be at any given time is at the top of the food chain.

To the Geezer-If you fall out of the boat while shark fishing your rank in the food chain will be altered dramatically! Bad Bob

...but not if you're fishing for them in an Idaho lake.

You still have to be careful Steve. Those "Land Sharks" tend to have a pretty nasty bite!

Good morning Bob:

After reading your latest bit of wisdom, Chris (Mrs. Wiegner)just informed me that she read a rather profound statement regarding people being "surprised" by the action of sharks when we are swimming in their grocery store.

Food for thought.

Idaho sharks

From the tales Geezer has been telling about the size of fish he catches in his favorite river, there might be other leviathans in there as dangerous as sharks! (Like Great White Catfish)

Quick corallary to the bbotw quote:

If you're going to be at the top of the food chain in the reel collecting game, you better bring a full checkbook

best regards,

Conversely, those that survive at the bottom of the reel food chain have a good eye, keep their wits about them, and swim fast to keep one step ahead but are always looking back over their shoulder.

Food chain- Reply to Brian

Post by RAM »

Aloha Brian-The reason any critters at the bottom of the food chain survive is because there are a lot of them there. Only the very fastest, the ones hardest to spot, or those that stay in the middle of the pack stay alive for awhile. The rest never make it to reproduce. Sounds like evolution at work doesn't it?
Geezer got to the top by being resourceful (most of the time). Didn't get the 'boat clumsys' until after his reproducing days. Glad his genes are in pool! Bad Bob

I guess Sachel Paige was right when he said, "Don't look back 'cause someone may be gainin' on ya" and "It makes no difference how far ahead of the pack you are, just as long as you are ahead".
