New SUPREME book

Post by Harvey »

Well, got my new book this morning and boy, am I disappointed. And to think I paid $15.00 for this! :x

There are no miss-spelled words, the pictures are clear, the information is written so even the dumbest like me can understand it, the chapters are in order and I didn’t find a dirty word in it anywhere.
Was this written by the Bob Miller that I know? Any way, feeling that my complaints are legit, I guess it will be a very good reference book for those that collect the Supreme.
Great book, Bob. You deserve a giant pat on the back, I suppose. Keep up the GOOD work. If you guys have a little space on your Library shelves, It will make a good space filler till something more important comes along. Get yours before they are gone!
"H"

And I might add: the Publisher didn't do bad either! A tip of the hat to Todd for giving writers a chance to put their research in print.

Thanks Harv. Took Todd three days to edit out all the obscenities (some were so arcane he had to research them before deleting). Todd-You the man! World's best small publishing company! Bad Bob

I am pleased so far everyone has had nothing but nice things to say about the books. All compliments go to Bob. He did the heavy work, I only did the layout, copy editing, and so forth. I was much more worried about Bob's book then I was my own. I am very happy it turned out the way it did.

Now, ORCAns, I know how much information is floating in your heads out there. GET IT DOWN ON PAPER and I'll publish it. Let's keep adding to the body of knowledge here folks! Here is a SMALL list of books that NEED to be written:

Bronson Reel Co.
J.A. Coxe
Ocean City
Penn Reels
Airex
Great Lakes
Shakespeare (HEY HARVEY!)
Heddon Reels
Johnson

We have works on Montague (one for sure maybe two) in the works and one on Bristol/Horton. Our esteemed editor Richard Lodge is working on a book on Skeleton Fly Reels too.

And the list doesn't include histories of individual reel models like Bob's work--how about a history of the Pflueger Akron? Spincasting reels?

If you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself, enlist the aid of others! Collaboration is what makes the world go 'round.

So many gaps to fill in but we have to start somewhere!

Dr. Todd
