Field & Stream Fob and other Fishing pins.

Post by drexelantiques »

I collect fishing and hunting pins and badges, including the Field & Stream magazine pins. I have seen only one other watch fob, and I was fortunate enough to win one on eBay last week, and received it today.

http://www.drexelantiques.com/images/fs ... onfobb.jpg is the back side of the fob. Very rare. I am not sure if 2nd award refers to the year, which for the F&S contest would be 1913, or the second largest Atlantic Salmon for that year.

I also received: Image

Today, thrilled to win it.

Folks can see some of my Field & Stream badges on the following page:

And some of my other hunting & fishing pins, badges, and etc.:

Made very similar to the Field & Stream pins. The Cabo Blanco club was a very famous big game fishing club in Peru. These pins once belonged to Harry T. Rayner who worked at the Club from the 1950s up into the 1970s, at some point he was manager of the club.1 1/4 inches.

Let me know if you think I made a mistake on the fish identification. I am a bit unsure on the black marlin, and striped marlin. One of them may be a blue.

I also am not sure of the roosterfish.

I still need the Slam pin that shows the major species, done by Richard Bishop, and I need the swordfish pin and any other species pins.

Pins

Jeff,

I know Montague gave out pins too. Do you have any of the Montague Big Fish pins from the 1920s?

Would love to see a pic if you do...

Dr. Todd, no, I was not aware of the Montague pins. I would love to see one, though, so I knew what to look for. I've got a couple of Heddon employee pins, and a few other fishing company employee year pins. But I have not seen anything from Montague.
