Sharon said it goes off sat the 18th at 9-10-ish----guess that's about 1 or 2 our time. Don't know if there is an internet access for that one or not...assume we'll hear the report

http://www.mullockmadeley.co.uk/sporting/index.php
it will be listed here - check the catalog
http://www.mullockmadeley.co.uk/sportin ... php?id=124
you'll have fun with this catalog anyway
(if somebody wants to buy item 527, I'll pay $150 for the Farlow reel)
find the listing, then check the item number on the prices realized page next week

One thing you better remember about bidding there is the final cost. By the time you win it, pay buyers premium, pay some tax and shipping you'll be paying double or more of final bid price. Just letting you know...

Exactly no different that an absentee bid at Lang's. And probably not that much more to ship. No VAT to offshore buyers.
Most of my collection has come from across the pond.

Do you mean no VAT for us in the USA? When I checked with their office they said I would have to pay the VAT tax. I go to Lang's twice ayear. Never bought anything at the auction but have at the show. I would save on the shipping and handling if I win anything at the auction. Still have to pay Mass tax though. One way or another we ALL have to pay-the-piper!

When I logged on earlier, I called up the catalogue and there was a column next to the pictures that was headed up VAT... underneath it said zero.

Forgive me for being thick (I am from Essex you know) but I assume VAT is not payable?

The clocks ticking down... its 1am here now so not long (so long as I get to bed soon and dont sleep in and miss is!)

And yes OF COURSE you will get a full report John Elder... whether you like it or not

We had the Euromillions lottery here tonight and its reached its maximum... 22 million. (dont ask me how much that is... I cant do Euro's yet!) So it had to be won.

Dave and I said if we won it we would withdraw the reel from the auction and hold a charity style auction and give it to the person who gave us the best deserving cause, and charge an entrance fee only...

As you guessed it... we never won lol!
