I love tiny fly reels !

Post by reelsmith. »

I just picked this one up. Aluminum plates, nickel silver hardware, nice big EVH style hole in the foot... and only 2" in diameter... including the pillars!

Dean,

It was nice to see your reel. At last falls Kalamazoo auction, I picked up an identical tiny fly reel, only it has hard rubber side plates. Everything else is exactly the same. I was told the handle is a replacement, but after seeing yours, I now know it is original to the reel. My reel has the number 514 stamped under the foot. I have pictures, but don't know how to post here. I can e-mail pictures though.

Great little reel, Dean! Looks like a 4 and a 0 on the bottom? Hard to tell from the pics. An excellent find.
