I feel it's my turn to share the most valued reel of mine. It might not be worth more than my Amb. 5000C DeLuxe from 1963 but it is very much rarer to find that's for sure.
I'm sure most of you have seen pics of this reel before - that is if you've ever come accross one of the blue cardboard boxes most any of ABU's Record reels came in( ? ) as this is the reel featured on top of those boxes. Except perhaps from mine having two interacting handcarved line-engravings along the edges of the sideplates. This reel has #494 so it's one of the first 500 reels ever made by A.B.-Urfabriken in the 1940'ies.
