How Many Different Pear Shaped Reels Are There?

Post by arne »

I'm collecting reels that are all the same style. I call them pear shape for lack of a better word. The names that I have are Meek Horton #30, Bristol Horton 77, Jamison #850, Jamison's Practical #800, All Star #4700 engraved and plain model and Wizard(not pictured) The last 5 reels are Bronson reels. If you know of other reels the same style please let me know. Thanks Arne Image

FORGOT!

How about the famous (or infamous) Kalamazoo
Tackle Co. Bal-Cli! These are truly Pear-Shaped.
Here is the style and one marked "FIRESTONE".
Hope you enjoy the glare! (I was in a hurry!)

Arne,
Let's find out what you mean by "pear-shaped." Must the reel have those concave curves? (That's what I assume you mean.) And does the tailplate have to be the same shape, or can it be circular?

Anyway, add Horton's Bristol Electromatic to your list.

I'm looking for any more reels that are almost identical to the ones that I posted. There may be more Bronson made under different names, like the 2 Jamison reels and the Wizard. The Aqua automatic is pear shaped but not like those pictured. I'll have to look for the Bristol Auto. reel to see if it looks the same. Any more out there? Thanks Arne
