Interesting-Many, if not the majority, of formerly-known-as "colleges" in the U.S. have recently established a graduate program in some field or another (e.g. "cat litter management") and now call themselves a "University", but one of the great U.S. universities still calls itself a "College"-Boston College.
Carrying this concept to its extreme, there is a barber college down the road a couple of miles from me that now calls itself "The University of Cosmetology".
The Romans had an expression for this:
