Richard and john's big Adventure

Post by john elder »

Well, finally made it out for a day on The Fishbugman's boat today. Never killed them, but managed to boat about a dozen fish and enjoyed the day. Richard kicked my butt by about 5:1, but I tied him on sea lion hook-ups :-]..photos show Richard bring in the only fish we brought home, a nice halibut!

Ah! Dinner! One of my favorite dishes-baked stuffed (with crab meat and spices) flounder with lemon-butter.
Have you come up with a good recipe for sea lion yet? BB

John's modesty

Post by fishbugman »

I know that John wanted to keep things clean for this board, being modest and all. The Fishbugman's boat has a name, it's the "Wetspot". Best part of that name is that first thing in the morning when I want a radio check, other skippers just can't wait to respond and make some hilarious comment about the name.

and here's a better pic of Richard and several meals still on the hoof. We can hope the Nevada highway patrol is not watching the board :D

John was in a state of shock.
The boat was in a state of disarray.
Richard was in San Diego, California about a half mile off the beach in appr.40-60ft of water.

Well, Richard..it's not for lack of trying, but this internet is moving so slow, I can't get a pic uploaded! Had a great day on June Lake today..7 trout...had the lead with a 2 1/2 lber until Daughter Roni aced me out with a nice 3 lb rainbow! Pics when I can get them on!...and I've yet to get to try the wood rod...too much wind...think tomorrow is the day.

Ah, finally...things cleared up at 5:30 AM:

Something tells me the ladies at Kappa Alpha Theta aren't into "Catch and Release", although that many big trout would feed the entire sorority house! Lovely daughter, beautiful fish, life is good! Send some rain here so the creeks will flow again. Bad Bob

I once went to a Kappa Alpha Theta formal at the University of Minnesota. They were great favorites of my fellow Sigma Chis, although I don't recall any of them were very good anglers.

Now those Delta Gammas, they could fish! But you'd expect that from a sorority that has a giant anchor in their front yard.

Great photos, better memories. Neat!

Now THAT is a familiar expression. The old "I caught a bigger fish than Dad" look! Don't have to ask if you're enjoying yourselves up there. Looks as beautiful as ever.

Take good care of our mountains John.
