anyone know about this rod/reel combo??

bud chaddock has this rod/reel combo for sale, so you can get him at ...at any rate, what's the details on this really neat old rod/reel? What's the time-frame?

My Guess!

If the rod is Fiberglass, it has to be made after 1952. The Howard prosess was developed in 1948 and Shakespeare started making the first fiberglass rods in 1952. I don't know who made this.

thanks, Harvey...apparently, this is a steel rod...got to get Bud over here to join up with the good guyz and maybe he can further update us. Here is what I have stolen from his Joes post:

Black Narrow reel with thumb brake like Hurd . Has metal rod that fits the reel. Trigger for finger bellow. Blue anodized Aluminum. Plastic Rittan type material on Butt. About 9-9. WAY neat. I have seen 50 Hurds to one of these. 125.00 + Shipping. Or trade for a nice fly bait. Can send scans./. First come first serve.

and yes, he told me it was all right to put this on over here, where all the smart reel/rod guyz like to hang
