Not enough controversy here lately. Thought I would muddy the water a bit.
Opinion: Watched the BSers (excuse my abbreviation) a bit ago whip up on some unfortunate bunch of guys on TV. For trivia, the producer flashed a statistic on the screen showing the home states of BS starters. Amazing stat. Only 3 of the 22 starters were from Idaho! And isn't that a state school? Bet all the SEC teams get most of their players instate. After all, that seems appropriate for a state-supported school. Why not Idaho? Don't you guys play high school ball there Geeze? Could be the producers don't have the facts straight. I'm just quoting them.
Second opinion (since its mine, worthless): A team having a blue field the same color as their uniforms is patently unfair. They were so well camouflaged I had a hard time following the plays! Tried to imagine the frustration of defensing the pass when you can't see the receiver! Easy to understand how you never lose at home!
On the other hand, I'm as old as you, Geeze, so poor eyesight may be the answer in my case. I tried to imaginge playing UT in Knoxville with the five yard zones alternately orange and white.
Inquiring minds need solid answers. Bad Bob

Hey Bad:
Nope, we have no high school football in Idaho, except for 8 man teams. It is very hard to make the change from 8 man to 11 man, so they don't recruit in Idaho.
You hit upon BSU's secret. It's the same reason I can't see those smallmouth in the river. Great camouflage.
FYI, such fields are outlawed by the NCAA now. They all have to be green. The next time BSU has to change the rug it will have to be green. Then they'll change to grass green uniforms.
FYI(2), The wind is blowing 20-25 MPH today, so I Bert and I are home for the day. I see the wind is also blowing in Nashville.

Glad to get those answers Geeze. Worried for a bit that no high school football players in Idaho could meet BSU's academic standards.
Still would like to see an orange and white striped field over in Knoxville. Only problem there is UT players are so dumb it would confuse them more than the opponents. They can beat Georgia though.
Hot wind blowing in Nashville (west part of town at least) Bad Bob
Go Big Blue!

How 'bout them Cincinati Bearcats! Perhaps this years Boise State? 6-0 and wins over two Top 20 ranked teams in two weeks, and now #15 with a bullet. Beat Rutgers in New Jersey (2nd win over Rutgers in two years, last year was when Rutgers was undefeated and ranked #2 last year).
Makes up for the dismal Bengals.
