The name is in scroll writing
It is a bait cast :?:

Ted made a bunch off Sears, who used his name on everything from fishing reels to thong underwear (I hope I'm kidding re that last, but don't want to risk finding out). Lots of those reels were sold and so far, the value has not skyrocketed since he went in the freezer. However, it may happen yet!

Ted Williams was a great fisherman and he had a deal with Sear Roebuck wherin his name was put on a lot fishing tackle over several years. I had a small collection of Ted's and just sold all of it, about 15 items. The last item was a 101/2 ' surf rod. Values have gone up a little since his death. Bob
