Posting a picture from your PC... (updated)

This is for those of you that don't have web space of your own. You can post pictures on the ORCA site utilizing this little web file upload feature. I extracted it from someone else's application (public domain) and hacked it to fit our needs. It seems to be functional. Anyways, here is what you do:

1. Login as guest, password guest, if necessary
2. Click on the "Upload Picture" link above.
3. Browse and select your file. (remember your file size is limited)
4. Click Open
5. Click Upload

You should now have an example of your picture displayed along with the URL link to insert into your Reel Talk message board post. You may also go to the related link "Picture Repository" to find your picture again if you need to.

NOTE 1- Remember to use the

after your link within the message.
Example:
(also put NO spaces in-between the img tags)

NOTE 2- The upload folder will be wiped clean occasionally, most likely bi-weekly. So do not plan on your pictures to remain there. If you need to have a permanent spot, please find a webhosting wervice that will provide this.

NOTE 2- This service is only to be used for old fishing tackle pictures. So please don't be putting anything in there that is not related to tackle collecting.

NOTE 3- Feel free to reference your photos in the repository from other tackle bulletin boards, as long as you make a duplicate post here on the ORCA board. Linking these photos to any auction sites is not allowed.

Instructions have been updated...please feel free to use the photo uploading feature. We have about 400 MB worth of disk space that we can use.

Sigh. All the kids can play 'cept me. Nothing happens when I click on the Upload Pic bar. Can't log in as guest either. Sniff.

Oh well, I'll just sit here in the dark and look at these pics by myself. They aren't very good anyway. Maybe I'll just put the laptop screen on the photocopier and fax the copy to ORCA.
