Check with Jim Garrett, but I believe the Imperial is a trade line and not a series of Montague reels (and certainly not the highest end--those were the four screw Montague German Silver baitcasters, of which the Imperial was just one of about 30 different names used). I think there is a whole family of saltwater reels the same as the Imperial but marked differently. Jim & Skip will know for sure.

Dr. Todd, oops, forgot about the trade reel business. Any article in the works on who/what Imperial was (and did I forget other research somewhere)?
