I recieved a package today from Phil and low and behold, a coffee mug.

Never in my wildest dreams did I think that when I handed
Arne Soland a check for my membership years ago that I
would be involving myself in a group of such guys. Not to
harp oin a bad thing but as most of you know, there have
been some down times in this household in the past year
and a half. On my worse days, if I needed a pick-me-up I
found that I could always use you guys. Sincerly, I say thanks
to all. An E-Mail, a visit to the chat rooms, viewing the various
message boards, all this kept a smile on my face and a chance
to clear my mind of other things. For years I felt that the thing
that bonded us together was our love for fishing reels. I see that
I had missed the boat. The things that make ORCA what has
become is the careing and respect we have for each other.

Again, Thank you Phil for the mug and everybody else for just
being you!

Hey Harv--Thanks to you to for not changing a bit, still look like
the ugly cuss I remember about 4years ago in Daytona. I too
wished to be in Wash., 'wait`ll next year', is it necessary to have
spurs when traveling to and in the 'Lone Star state' ?

Traveling extensively in my work has given me the opportunity to meet a lot of people in the fishing business.
The older I get the more I appreciate the Harvey Garrisons (I collect Shakespeare and Pflueger) who years ago had the foresight to see the value of keeping our heritage of fishing in the hands of people who know the value of the "old" reels and tackle, not in monetary terms; but in the history and traditions that we try to preserve.
God bless them all and thanks...
