Hi all:
I was recently asked to provide photos to a gentleman who had picked up a Bronson Wolverine box. He wanted pictures to help him find the reel that fits the box.
Both my Wolverine reels were in bad shape. The one that fit his box had really dulled plating and photgraphed well. The other Wolverine still had a fairly bright chrome plating. The name "Woverine" was engraved above the center cap and handle.
I tried to get in close with the camera so as to be able to make out the engraving but every time the flash on the camera would just wash out the engraving. I am using a Kodak point and shoot digital and don't think there is a way to turn off the flash.
I don't use the camera much.
Can anybody give me some pointers to take better pics? Thanks!

Just make sure you have enough light. I like outdoor light, but of course this time of year it makes it awful difficult. I subscribe in winter time to the Dean Smith school of photography--some white paper under a reading lamp. Here's my one-minute result with a point-and-click Kodak camera:
