Hi Guys! Thought i,d share some pics of the crown jewel in my Canadian reel collection.Bought this a few years ago when i just started collecting and didn,t realize what i had.This a fly reel from the Cotes Aircraft company of British Columbia Canada made in the 40,s.I don,t think there is any relations to the Coates Company of NewYork. These reels were made in limited quantities and only in a few models.This is 1 of the most sought after reels in Canada and to have 1 in such near mint condition is great,but to have an even rarer fully intact box is fantastic.Reel originaly sold for $6 and i got it for $60.I,m pretty sure that i got a bargain.Anyone have any more info. to add,chime in.
