SOLD !!!!!!!!!! nm

Post by Gerald L »

Rare Jim Heddon's Favorite Bamboo Casting Kit in Original Metal Case. Here's something you don't find everyday. Its 90% complete, just missing a fishing line spool and a Heddon River Runt that i can see. I'm just going buy what it says on the picture on the lid as to what it came with.
The Original Bamboo casting Rod is there and in great condition along with the Original CHief Dowagiac # 4 Reel, the original Heddon 9119 XRS River Runt in box, the fish stringer and a wood Heddo Meadow Mouse in VG condition.
The Case is in very good condition and the paper Lithograph Label inside the lid is in super condition as you can see and even has the original " Value 30.00" sticker on it. The outside of the case is worn from all the years gone by but still very decent. Click pics for larger ones.. $400.00 + 8.00 shipping

So, Jerry...this was just on Ebay, bid up to $430 and did not make reserve...why don't you just sell it to the highest bidder and be done with it?

I never respond to second chance offers from sellers. My feeling is that if the seller is willing to take less, why did they put a high reserve on it?

If you want to sell something, just have an auction. If you're not sure you want to sell it unless it reaches $XXX, then put that price as a reserve and if it doesn't reach that price put it back in your collection.

Jerry, my guess is that if you re-list it without a reserve, it will easily bring your price.

Whenever I list something I paid quite a bit for I use what I paid as the reserve. That way I get my money back. If I don't get the reserve then so be it, I go somewhere else or wait a month or so and try again. Trading is a good way if you can find something for your collection or multiple items to sell to get your investment back.
