cleaning up old drag washers

i just came across a bunch of various drag washers for vintage baitcasters that are oily and greasy any suggestions on what to use to degrease them with some appear to be leather several others i have no idea what they are composed of

Many times, you can clean up leather drags by soaking them in paint thinner to extract some of that grease. As long as they aren't brittle, they will usually come back well enough to serve in reels that are destined for the shelves rather than service.
