Filling a hole.....

Post by fishbugman »

I would imagine that every collector has a top ten list of items in their hobby that they really would like to have, are pretty darn sure it may elude them do to rarity or lack of greenbacks or realization that buying that item might cost them more than it is worth. I only have 9 items left on my list with a GIANT THANK YOU to Phil White. This beauty came into the herd/hoard this week...

I am one green satin finish Tru-Cast away from completing the entire collection with all variations on round or flat line guide & colors. Any help in finding a green one for sale would be appreciated.

John, I finally rounded most of them up. Probably still have a handful sitting out in my workshop, but here is a picture of the group of reels excluding the boxes, catalogs, oilers, bags, etc. The highlights to me are the red one and the triple stamped brass one that is probably an in-house prototype. I am still looking for the green one and will pay top dollar for it.

Richard - The one on the top right looks different. Is it missing the level wind bar? Nice set of reels.

Good catch...I have a couple more in my workshop that I have torn down to clean and lube and one needs an oil cap. That reel on top right corner is the one I have been cannibalizing.
