I would like to add an Eckmier-Made in Canada-Skeleton Fly Reel. Richard Lodge in his book on Skeletons pictures one on page 22.
Also I am interested in references to any Ads, Catalogues, Stationery etc.

Thanks for the plug, Gary!
I'd love to help Gary find an Eckmier reel and, like him, I'd like to see any literature, catalogs or Eckmier boxes that might be out there. These things seem pretty scarce, although the company made no secret of the name and country of origin. The name Eckmier and "Made in Canada" are clearly stamped on the back of this unusual skeleton reel.

Thanks for the reply Richard.
Given the scheduling of your seminar at the ORCA Convention-Early Skeleton Reels-and the article in the May issue of The Reel News on 'fake' reels, I can see your interest in Skeleton Reels has not wained. I cannot fathom why that reel still has proven elusive for me. Should I add any information on the Company, I will pass it on to you.
This week I received the ORCA package for new members with the first four issues of The Reel News for 2010. Congratulations are extended to you as Editor. I now am anxiously awaiting the next issue.
