Hello Phil,

oh, an excellent web-site. Congratulation!

I´m searching:
Amateur-reel Mod. 10, 2 1/4" (1896-1919) and Mod. 7, 3" (1896-1919)
Expert-reel Mod. 19, 2 1/4" (1906-1919 and Mod. 17, 3" (1906-1919)
Faetherligth 250, 1 3/4", 260/270, 2 1/4", and ..., 3" all ca. 1915
Automatic No. 655
Takapart No. 480 (ca. 1910)
Tripart No, 580 (ca. 1910)

I´m searching this reels because they were sold in germany by Fritz Ziegenspeck Berlin, Jakob Wieland Munich ... .

Thanks for all

greeting Walter

Takapart 480

Post by Reeliant »

Sure, I have a Meisselbach 480 Takapart with a little brass showing. Patents read: "NOV 15 '04, JUNE 20 '05, MARCH 5 '07, AUG 3 '09.". Also, frame is printed "A.F. MEISSELBACH MFG. Co. Newark, N.J. U.S.A. 100 YDS." Head reads "Takapart No 480". $30.00. Would you like to see a picture, tomorrow?

I have 2 Tripart 580's I would part with as well as a Takapart 481. Not sure of values, but would be interested in selling. All in fair to good condition.

Walter,

Please let us know what book(s) you have or will write on reels. There are many members of ORCA here in America who I'm sure would love to buy copies.

Meiselbach reels and my books

Post by Walter »

Dear Dr. Todd,

please give me your adress and I will send you two of my books. One about stationary reels and one about casting reels.
But my books (I´ve written until now 22 books) are in German language.

Bye
Walter
