Would you guys get a new calendar? Where I am it's September 22, not the 27th. And yes, I know some of you haven't received the magazine. I mailed it the last week of August. I can't help you with delivery but I would suggest you file a complaint with your local post office. Sorry it seems to be delayed to some parts of the country, but if my memory serves me, Phil occasionally saw delays in delivery. We mail under a low-rate non-profit permit.

Richard is correct. We had slow delivery several times, and there is nothing that he can do about it, other than *stitch at his postmaster. I don't know if W. Groton has a bulk mail office, or if it is handled through his regular post office. Nampa has a separate bulk mail office. That helps. The Reel News left Nampa and was sent to Boise the same day I took it in. There is was sorted and on its way in 24-48 hours. From there any problems occurred at various mail sorting offices.

However, my guess is that his shipment goes to Boston or somewhere they don't give a *D.A.M. reel* about ORCA, and it sits around until they are good and ready. The various dates members are receiving their copies makes no sense, but we did experience the same problem once. It was a mid-November mailing and we assigned it to the massive bulk mailings of pre-Christmas stuff. From that point on we mailed around Nov 1 and had no further problems.

Chin up Richard, it will work out.

One way to limit the number of days that you get the complaints is just not tell anybody that you mailed them.
That way the first post will be something like "Hey, I got My November Reel News" and it will be a week after you mail them. That way you will have that week or so to bask in the sunshine of knowing that you have done your job. But then again, your nose may grow by answering, 'Nope, Not Yet!"

When I worked at a company that sometimes bulked out advertisments or postcards we always calculated three weeks for how long the mail would take for items to reach the home... if it got there faster GREAT!
