Who wanted vintage Canadian Reels ?

Post by hardyguy »

I have acquired two rare Canadian made vintage Fishing Reels. They are both for sale or trade.

First one is a all aluminium fly reel made by M & G out of Montreal. This is a very lightweight reel with a click mechanism. I'm guessing but I would say, made in the 40's ? I havent seen another.

The other is a Tamco Ltd Lasalle Spinning Reel, side plate says "pat pend" Terrific condition. A very futuristic looking unit most likely way beyond when it was built.

Not looking for world record money here, something in the Hardy would be nice but will sell outright

Both Reels have now found a new home

Merry Christmas Everyone !

That's a great looking spinning reel, Randy. It almost makes me want to collect spinning reels.

I don't collect spinning reels but as Phil said, that's a great looking spinning reel. Does the round housing that the handle fits on have a spiral gear? I bet it is made somewhat like the old style chain hoists. If it is then it is one strong reel! Very inovative.
