Having trouble finding info on these two reels found a Mitchell 408G but its in a cardboard box not wood pres box like shows in Wrights Price Guide but does show serial no 106. with gold plating.
Next picked up a Scientific anglers 50th Anniversary Serial no 0362 wood box systim 5 so far talking to a couple of fly reel guys they say this is regular Hardy worth about a 150 but in Lawsons its listed for quite a bit more just wondering if Lawsons a misprint thanks for any help

Dennis Robert- "Mitchell Cllectors Reference Guide" lists it as super rare. Page #181. Produced by Mitchell for Bass Pro Shops in the 80's. Picture of reel has wooden box next to it. Less than 1000 reels made. Only an educated guess...that the first ones were shipped in the wooden box and later ones shipped in cardboard. Probably due to manufacture costs. I know of other reels they made that follow the same logic. Could be a crown jewel for your collection or someone else's...Of course condition determines the final value for any reel. Nice find!
