Since DST is even earlier this year, it emphasizes the need to follow my suggestion of a year ago, but with a new twist. This is big stuff!
We supposedly save enegy by moving the clock back and forth every year (although when I got up this AM it was dark and cold, so I turned on lights and turned up the heat. So much for that).
My idea expressed last year:
Move the "Spring Forward" date and the "Fall Back date" both to 1 AM January 1. This has several positive results:
1) We save 30% more energy over the March-October changes.
2) Since we would be instructed to move all clocks forward one hour then all of them back one hour, we have enough sense to know we don't really have to touch them at all! Twelve clocks that don't have to be messed with!
3) Best of all (new twist), when we "Fall Back" one hour at 1 AM we get momentarily to celebrate New Years TWICE! Is this a great country or what?!
Run this by Al and if he agrees its a good idea (why wouldn't he?) I may run for something!

DST with a new twist
BB, aren't we both retired? What the blank do we care what time it is? And even if we do care, all our clocks will be wrong, anyway:
