Record "low" temp in Nashville

Post by RAM »

This is different. We set a new record low temp in Nashville Tuesday, but with a twist-it was the lowest high temperature ever recorded for the date (60 degrees).
It followed several days of absurdly low temps for Nashville for mid-May-highs in the 50s, lows in the 40s. The good news? It quietened the cicadas for awhile. Still chilly, but should reach 70 today. The're baaack!

the bad news?...those wild temp shifts just love to make for more tornadoes when the front moves thru...DUCK!

OH! saw a nice report on the news last night from Nashville about your cicada-fest, BB. Cute little creatures...apparently have spawned a T-shirt/coffee cup industry back there. Also, many people are starting to eat them...you should try them chocolate-covered!

Two days of 100-degree temps forecast here (Philly). Can't wait for Summer to start. Maybe it'll cool down.
