ABU 444

First off nice find! Yes, it is reel worth keeping. Ben Wright has it listed in his book "The Wright Price Guide for the Reel Man" and it is the first spin reel ABU from Sweden manufactured in 1955. ABU sold spin reels earlier than 1955 but they were manufactured by other companies. Value according to Ben is $150 in Mint condition. Yours is less than that, in it's current condition. Harvey is right, if you like it keep it. That is what collecting is all about regardless of value.
