We have an old Penn advertizing thermometer that my father-in-law had had hanging by his work bench. We moved him recently from Northern Michigan to down state to live with family because of heath reasons. The thermometer was given to him by his brother who sold sporting goods, including Penn reels. Now we're not exactly sure of the manufacture date but looking over Penn's website it appears to be in the 40's. It definitely great piece of history and should go to someone who really appreciates and collects sporting equipment. Below is the link to view and if wish bid on:
