TALBOT REELS FOR $50, IN 1909 AND 1914 !

Post by Pinardi »

Check Joe's Board for my postings of an Abercrombie and an Abercrombie and Fitch catalogs, each having a Talbot reel offered for $50 in the early part of the Century. That would equate to a boat load of money in 2011 dollars.

$1,280.00 using the Consumer Price Index
$997.00 using the GDP deflator
$5,340.00 using the unskilled wage
$8,470.00 using the Production Worker Compensation
$6,820.00 using the nominal GDP per capita
$25,200.00 using the relative share of GDP

Looks like they're not holding their value.
