Scarce C.M. Clinton Side-Mount Presentation Fly Reel - Sold
All Clinton fly reels are scarce. This one is exceptional since it has a gold wash over the German silver and has an engraved presentation from Clinton himself to a Mr. D.F. van Fleet, Ithaca, NY in 1891. Some of the gold wash has been rubbed off with use. The click is fine. The spool rubs slightly on one side and needs to be adjusted. It measures 2 5/8 inches in diameter. A really wonderful piece for $2,750. See photos for details and condition.
