Here's your chance to get (or give) that perfect Christmas present, get a great book and help a Soldier out to boot!

Lt. Commander Joel Stewart shipped out to Baghdad, Iraq in early 2005, and was stationed at Camp Victory, which contained the greedy dictator Saddam Hussein's Al-Faw Palace, built for his psychopathic sons. On the compound were a large number of artificial lakes the dictator had stocked with game fish from around the world.

LTCDR Stewart is a Montana boy, and like all good Montana boys he packed a fishing rod. The first opportunity he had, he took that rod out to one of the lakes and caught a fish. Then he caught another one. Pretty soon he was attracting crowds, and other Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines began to ask to have him teach them how to fish.

Thus the Baghdad Angler's Club and School of Fly Fishing (BACSFF) was born. Lacking basic fishing items like rods and line, he put out a call to some friends at home who had been following his exploits on the internet. Soon, the tackle began to flood in.

From 2005 until 2011, the BACSFF helped thousands of dedicated Soldiers from all branches of the military, and from multiple countries, forget about the hugely dangerous surrounding (Camp Victory was fired on by enemy mortars and snipers regularly) by doing something we all love: fishing.

Read about this amazing and very American story as told by the BACSFF founder Joel Stewart.

Please note that 25% of the royalties from this book will be donated to Operation Healing Waters. If you don't know about this amazing organization, in short they use fishing to help injured Veterans heal from their physical and psychological wounds.

I cannot recommend this book more highly. You get an incredible read, and do good in the process. Win-win situation? You bet.

Please note the book is available in a very special Hardcover Limited Edition. This book is sure to be a great collectable book, and allows us to give even more to Project Healing Waters!

The books are scheduled to arrive and be shipped out the week of Dec. 14 in time for Christmas!

Really good idea. Seems like a great organization, fishing is a great healer, especially stress. Just ordered mine today. Thanks for the heads up.

Yesterday, the U.S. military officially turned over Camp Victory to the Iraqi government. The only people fishing Saddam's ponds from now on will be the natives.

It's an awesome book and we truly appreciate the support!
