This Meisselbach 257 Symploreel is missing its anti-backlash bar, but is otherwise complete, working well and in very nice condition.

$30, shipped. Payment by personal check or money order. SOLD

Thanks for looking.

Dean.

Dean, that isn't the correct LW line guide.

And you know that isn't a Meisselbach reel. The maker is clearly stamped on the plate.

I'll get out my grinding tool and grind off the part where it says Meissselbach.

I'm not trying to be picky. It is just one of my pet peeves. Meisselbach reels were made by one company and Meisselbach-Catucci reels were made by a totally separate company.

Or two totally separate companies. Show them a marked Meisselbach-Catucci with the made in Bronson mark on the foot. "Picky" no; "accurate" is the word.

Note the crank nut on Dean's reel; and then compare it to the one in the Bronson catalog. That is one of the key points for telling a Newark M-C from one made by Bronson.

So, part of my reel/listing is correct.

Any offers on this much discussed, mis-identified reel with a missing part and incorrect level-wind?

Comon' ...its got the correct crank nut !

Dean.

ps. All in good fun. Don't anyone get riled up. If you haven't met me, I am very sarcastic, which usually plays poorly on the Internet. No worries. Be happy.
