Blue Grass Reel Works No. 3 Free-Spool Kentucky Reel FS

Post by RonG »

Blue Grass Reel Works No. 3 German Silver Free-Spool Kentucky Reel For Sale. The reel turns freely and the click and drag work fine. This is an unusual reel that appears to have been modified to add a free-spool mechanism similar to the Medley patent used on later B.F.Meek & Sons reels - $375, shipping included within continental US, others extra. See photos for condition. Money back guarantee if unsatisfied. Pay with check or money order - NO Paypal. email. Thanks for looking.

It's missing the spring-loaded drag that gets pressed in when you push the upper button forward...should be a spring-loaded leather button that pushes against the inside of the spool...holes are likely for that.

Sounds reasonable John. I hadn't seen this specific detail before.
