*FOR SALE*

Perfect working condition, all original parts. Outside condition as good as inside condition. The original message that we submitted stated that this was a Black Series Prototype. All I can do is sincerely apologize for our mistake. Thanks to a reply I received, we took it outside and looked at it in the bright sunlight and it is definitely dk. blue, in the house and with our old eyes it definitely was black. Again can't apologize enough for our mistake to all old reel collectors. SORRY SORRY SORRY

Re: Garcia Mitchell 400reel "BLACK SERIES"

Post by Wallace »

Hello, Please provide the serial number that should be on the reel's foot and post photographs. I've seen the ad you're talking about and if yours is authentic, I'm very interested. The problem is proving it's not just an early 400 that's been painted.

The other thing to watch out for is the dark blue appears to be black to a few people. Look at it in bright sunlight or take a flash photo of it. Looking forward to your reply. Best Regards, Wallace

PS: if you have problems posting images, email them to me and I'll be happy to post them for you.

Hello Sir, that is a very common mistake due to the extream dark blue color. FYI; Your reel's serial number is from 1972. Best Regards, Wallace
