Let's try over here

Post by john elder »

Seems everyone that reads the sale/trade/wants page is mute...but of course, as usual..I'm NOT BITTER! In any event, did any of the Shakespeare reels come with a wooden handle? I Have a veteran Favorite 1733 that has a wooden handle (pics on the mutey post), but maybe it's been changed out? nut has been "replaced" and foot was butchered, so anything is probable.

thanks

HUH? Can't hear ya? HUH?

Oh, Wooden handle, eh? Did ya say you want a wooden handle?
What?
Oh, Your Bucket has a broken handle!
What?

Yea, I would handle it for you.
HUH?

OK, let me take this banana out of my ear and put my
glasses on so I can talk and I will answer your question!

Have I ever seen a real wooden handle?

Yes I have!

OH, That is not the question!

Have I ever seen a REEL with a wooden handle?

Yes I have!

Now we are getting somewhere!

Is there an echo in this room?

Yes I have!

(SLAP! SLAP!)

This is the only one that I have seen. It is on a 1914 Uncle Sam reel and sure looks original to me but I may have the wrong glasses on.
HUH?

Do I want a glass of what?

(Yawn)

I am going back to bed
Nighty Nighty,
