Who needs these under-slung reels?

Post by Len Sawisch »

I ain't a under-slung reel kind of Guy, so I am thinning out for the new year. Would like to sell the lot for $150, but will sell individually, especially at inflated prices!

If you open the link in a new window, or save it on your desktop, you can blow it up big time (Son-In-Law got a new fancy digital camera).

- Mitchel Garcia 300 made in France, a 9/9 from a seller's perspective . . .
- DAM Quick 1401 probably made in some other country, runs really smooth, check the edge wear.
- Mitchell Garcia308, US Patent 2,726,052 made in France with a plastic side cover? Finish is near excellent, bail spring is strong yet bail is a bit anguish to close.
- Plain old Mitchell, early 1/2 bail, metal handle knob, stamped B13445. Minimal edge wear - looks great; needs to be re-greased
- South bend 730, sharp looking deep green, tight mechanically, minimal edge wear
- Johnson Fiskar II, Model 512, tough reel, has been well-used. If I had any idea how it worked, I would probably keep it (seemed to work right?)

So there you go! Make me happy!

PS If you can't tell which reel is which, you probably shouldn't buy them . . .
