Price is shipped. Could use a cleaning or just keep the patina as it. You all are the reel experts.

I don't collect fly reels but you may be a bit optomistic. Lawson's price guide list that reel in gun metal or polished brass in the $20 to $40 dollar range and than's without a filed foot.

Don, thanks. I was going by one similar, but in better condition that sold for $170ish on the auction site. Took a stab at value and have dropped my price. The one I have avail. is the reel I have been using for quite some time.

Chris, some guy has been polishing those reels to high shine and making a killing off selling them to people the either like shiny things or are uneducated about them. there are a couple threads in the archives about these. As Don said, 20 bucks with a good tail wind without box.

That would be like pouring gallons of paint stripper on a 57 chevrolet, polishing the bare metal and calling it mint.
